Volunteer

BSSS exists in large part due to the tremendous support from a small army of volunteers who serve on the Board of Directors, on various committees, and assist with special projects and events. Committees help to create the academic program, exhibit calendar, events, oversee the physical plant, fundraise, market the school, and more. If you are interested volunteering your skills and expertise, please contact the office directly. We would love to hear about you and your interest in the visual arts.

We are currently seeking individuals who can help us with the following:

• Volunteer Manager
  Point person for recruitment and coordination of volunteers for all BSSS activities requiring volunteers.
  
  
• School Relocation Committee
  Investigate options for school relocation within the next 2 years. Work with commercial realtor to identify possible sites.
  
  
• Nominating Committee
  Identify board member candidates utilizing current school
  rosters and new sources.
  
  
• Donor/Sponsor Committee
  Assist Board President with maintenance and outreach of current and future donors and sponsors.
  
  
• Hospitality Team
  Coordinate and execute gallery receptions, open houses and other events where refreshments are needed.
  
  
• Museum Visit Coordinator
  Contact local museum docents and set up visits – one visit per month beginning in June 2025.
  
  
• YART SALE Coordinator
  Organize and price items, assist at 2-day event with donation sales and teardown.
  
  
• 2026 Gala Fundraiser Coordinator
  Plan and execute 2026 Gala including assessing paintings for auction, gala location, sponsors, guests list, etc.
