Dear Friend of Beverley Street Studio School, Thank you for making this summer at Beverley Street Studio School active and art filled! In addition to academic planning, the BSSS Board and staff enjoyed hosting a busy workshop and class schedule this summer. Dusting off the School’s printing equipment, Jim Sconyers led his students through the process of intaglio etching with copper. Stop by the Gallery to see a selection of Jim’s work featured on the Faculty Wall through October 2nd and stay tuned for future printmaking classes with this talented and resourceful instructor. Other summer studio highlights included learning about the art and culture of Japan from Misa Kobayashi Stuart, painting animals with Nancy Bass, learning valuable travel sketching techniques from Linda Carey and Bill Barnes, painting with wool with Lisa Jacenich, and sketching in the park and throughout town with Cleveland Morris. This fall’s class schedule is equally as diverse and we are eager to see the artwork that is produced.
