Robert Stuart

Robert leads a painting critique class for BSSS. He has also taught at James Madison University, University of Virginia, and Mary Baldwin University. He received an “Academy Award in Art” from the American Academy of Arts & Letters in 2004. Robert has exhibited extensively over the past 30 years and his works are included in numerous museum, corporate, public and private collections regionally. The Mission of Beverley Street Studio School is to provide the community a variety of opportunities to explore the world of visual art through practice, professional instruction, and contact with practicing artists.

The Beverley Street Studio School from the start through today has been a source of continuing inspiration to me in the pursuit and enjoyment of art and painting. No better proof exists of its value to me than the fact that 25 years later I am still taking classes and still learning.
