Classes are the core of the Beverley Street Studio School education program. Weekend workshops support the intent of the classes, while allowing the student to more intensely focus on a particular medium or technique. A variety of classes are offered throughout the year.
Scholarships are available to supplement tuition when there is an apparent financial need. Applications are available through the school office. Donations to the scholarship fund are greatly appreciated.
Contact our school and give an artist a wonderful gift. You can select the total payment or a partial amount for an art class, workshop, or travel study trip.
A one-year membership is available for $40 per person, $60 per family, or $20 per student (age 13-25). Your membership entitles you to a $30 Members’ Discount for each class/workshop, as well as other offers made throughout the year. Your membership helps support the mission of BSSS. Please consider joining today.
Upon request, refunds will be issued on all cancellations made one week prior to the start of a class or 10 days prior to the start of a workshop, less a $25 processing fee. Cancellations made less than one week prior to the start of a class or 10 days prior to the start of a workshop are final and non-refundable. All refunds will be returned in the form of a check.
Classes and workshops are subject to minimum enrollment standards. If the minimum is not met, your class/workshop may be cancelled. In this event, your tuition will be fully refunded.
You will be notified as soon as possible should there be a schedule change or cancellation.
When the Augusta County Schools are closed because of inclement weather, BSSS classes and workshops are canceled unless otherwise noted by the BSSS office or instructor. Please listen to your local stations for closure announcements.
The Mission of Beverley Street Studio School is to provide the community a variety of opportunities to explore the world of visual art through practice, professional instruction, and contact with practicing artists.
Friday, 11/15 – Sunday, 1/5/25
The Beverley Street Studio School from the start through today has been a source of continuing inspiration to me in the pursuit and enjoyment of art and painting. No better proof exists of its value to me than the fact that 25 years later I am still taking classes and still learning.

BSSS is truly a beneficial addition to the community and to each artist who participates in the unique and diverse programs. There are very few organizations that can compare to BSSS.
