INTRODUCTION TO WATERCOLOR (PART 2)

This course includes information about the nature of watercolor as a paint medium, as well as considerations of additional tools. Also, brushwork, washes and information about paper and brushes will be reviewed. Techniques such as altered/altering washes, grades washes and a more extensive exploration of color vs. paint (transparency, staining, etc.) and layering and mixing on the paper will be reviewed. There will also be experiences with design concepts and use of linear, value, and color thumbnails as well as optional exercises and MORE finished paintings. Mostly small paintings but one or two a bit larger as well.
