In this class, students will learn the basics of drawing from start to finish. Students will learn the fundamentals of 2D design: shape, line, proportions, dimensions, value, composition and the importance of these elements in designing an image. Students will learn how to draw from observation applying their knowledge of the fundamentals of 2D design, also, how to measure proportions based on comparison, how to simplify shapes and working from general to detail. This class will teach students how to use drawing materials and how to handle their art.
The class projects will be based on drawing, at the beginning, single objects and later- still lives. We will draw organic forms like fruits and vegetables, and man-made objects like pots and pans, chairs, etc.
This class is suitable for the beginning students, those who haven’t drawn for a long time and the students who experimented with drawing on their own and now would like to learn more about it.
