APPLIED ESSENTIALS FOR DRAWING AND PAINTING

Full Day Times: Wednesdays | 10:30am to 3:30pm

For students with intermediate to advanced levels of experience. Beginners welcome with prior approval from instructor. Instruction is tailored to the individual according to specific need or stage of development as a painter. Focus will be on application of fundamental and basic dynamics of composition; color theory; image statement; color mixing; and the general modes of expression in application of paint, brushwork, line, interpretive shaping to describe forms, and effective use of “value”. Group demos will be suggested when appropriate. Class will meet in the BSSS studio or outdoors, weather permitting. For any special concerns, call Ron Boehmer 434 528-4795. Message can be left.
