About The BSSS Gallery

  • The gallery is a vital and very visible component of BSSS. Its mission is:
  • To provide our students, the community and regional audiences the opportunity to view diverse, enriching and challenging exhibits that engender critical discussion among each other, and faculty and exhibiting artists.
  • To provide students the opportunity to exhibit their work and prepare for future opportunities to do so.
  • To introduce audiences to faculty work, further enhancing the reputation of the school.
  • To serve as a venue for cultural programs and critique classes.

interested in exhibiting your work?

Established and emerging artists may submit exhibition proposals for consideration to Robert Stuart, Gallery Committee Chair at robertkstuartjr1243@gmail.com. Exhibitions are planned two years in advance. Please include the following in your proposal:

  • Brief description of the proposed exhibition
  • Current Artist’s CV
  • Brief bio
  • Updated artist’s statement
  • 8-10 high resolution, 300 dpi, JPEG images of recent work. Label clearly and include medium and size of art in image description: Jane_Doe_Title_Size.jpg.

The BSSS shares a space with the CoArt Gallery (22 W Beverley Street)

Seasonal hours are:

  • November 1-March 31
  • Wednesday 1pm-5pm
  • Thursday, Friday, & Saturday 10am-6pm
  • Sunday 1pm-5pm

The Mission of Beverley Street Studio School is to provide the community a variety of opportunities to explore the world of visual art through practice, professional instruction, and contact with practicing artists.

The Beverley Street Studio School from the start through today has been a source of continuing inspiration to me in the pursuit and enjoyment of art and painting. No better proof exists of its value to me than the fact that 25 years later I am still taking classes and still learning.
