This 2-day workshop will cover traditional Plein-Air/studio skills as well as some very more contemporary approaches to the art of sketching. Beginning with an exploration of basic sketching with watercolor & ink skills, we will also explore design concepts for successful sketching. You will have the opportunity to develop two distinctly different but complementary techniques for boldly combining ink and watercolor. Open to beginners and more experienced students; advanced students welcome! This workshop will be conducted outside, taking advantage of Staunton’s urban and neighborhood landscapes.
