Explore sketching on Toned Paper using various colors of paper and simple dry and/or wet sketching materials to achieve dramatic results in this 1-day or 2-day workshop. We will begin each day in the BSSS classroom, and weather permitting, take advantage of the lessons found in Urban Sketching and Travel Sketching movements, as well as a bit of the “Plein-Air” sketching tradition to work nearby in downtown Staunton. Students can take the either one or both days; Friday we will concentrate on dry media and Saturday wet media will be our focus. Designed to be suitable for beginner to advanced students who have some previous experience with drawing (or painting).
