What better way to spend the cold days of January, than to enjoy the comforts of a warm studio setting while painting winter landscapes? With your own photo references as inspiration, we will use soft pastel to paint snowy scenes which will include subjects such as mountains, rivers, farms and barns. Learn how to capture the look and feel of a cold winter’s day and snowy landscape effectively. Bring your favorite photo references, pastel papers and pastel colors as we paint the beauty of the outdoors while inside! Maria will present demonstrations, instruction for all levels of experience and lots of personal attention. There will be lots of painting time and comradery with other artists.  A materials list will be provided after registration. Maria is already a popular instructor at BSSS and a regular participant in some of the top plein air festivals. www.mariareardon.com
