Learn to capture the night! Nocturne painting has its own set of rules to capture the romance and intrigue hidden in the dark. Meet Thursday evening at BSSS Studios for an hour demonstration and introduction, then head downtown to paint with award-winning nocturne painter Shawn Dell Joyce to learn the tips and tricks of painting at night in public. Class will meet Friday from 6pm-10pm on location for plein air nocturne painting after dark. Your instructor will demonstrate in pastel, but welcomes all media (watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, etc.). You will create a finished piece both nights, where Thursday you will focus on capturing the fleeting light of the sunset and Friday night paint lights of downtown after dark in the moonlight.
