Spend three days in an immersive exploration emulating the work of the great Henry Matisse. BSSS instructor Jan Olsson will lead you on a journey where you draw experience from how a beloved artist worked so that you may better understand the sources of his inspiration. This workshop follows the path Matisse used to forge line and color into joyfully vibrant compositions. This workshop is about pushing yourself, learning, and expanding your skills as an artist. “I believe that drawing and painting are the same thing”. Whether you actively paint or draw, or have little to no experience, you will leave the weekend with a new perspective that will improve your future art. Base materials will be provided for the workshop, a list of recommended additional supplies will be sent upon registration.
