Times: 10 am to 1 pm (30 minutes lunch break) - 1:30 to 4:30 pm - (12 hours)

This workshop will cover the basics of blocking in a full value and full color head study based on simple large shapes and progressing into more studied anatomical details of the eyes, nose and mouth. It will use a full color palette of around 12 colors and will study the effects of warm/cool color relationships between light and shadow as well as local shifts in color through the face. The basis for this approach to painting comes from the painting techniques of Sargent, Zorn and Sorolla (as interpreted by me of course!)
We will be doing 2 poses over the weekend, starting each morning with a demo and then painting for the rest of the day.
