Do you want to learn to draw or paint yet never have the time or courage? This beginner and intermediate class will guide you through the process of learning to see through an artist’s eye. Instructor Janly Jaggard will offer one-on-one instruction to show you how to work from direct observation as you experience drawing processes that lead you forward towards the medium of your choice. If you have some experience but know there is more to learn, Janly will help you continue to improve your technical skills as you begin to develop your personal style. This class is not just a two-step program but is the door that opens to lasting skill building, practice and aesthetic success. A materials list provided upon registration. www.janlyjaggard.com

Janly instructs several drawing, painting and enameling classes and workshops for BSSS. She has more than forty years of teaching experience and her teaching style is one that anticipates a serious quest on the part of the student who wants to develop a sound foundation of knowledge. She exhibits regionally, nationally and internationally and has participated in several group and solo shows. Janly studied sculptural ceramics as an undergraduate earning a BFA from The West of England College of Art and Design, Bristol, England. Vitreous enamel on copper as a medium for wall work was introduced a few years later and is now central to her practice along with painting. In 2015 Janly was awarded an MA in Fine Art from Norwich University of the Arts, England.
