Ever notice how some oil paintings impart a serene, harmonious feeling? Take your understanding of color to a new level and achieve those desirable qualities. Learn to adjust your existing color palette to achieve harmonious color relationships in your plein air and studio paintings. Lauren will walk you through basic prismatic color theory, demonstrate how color changes throughout the day and teach you how to adjust your palette to better achieve harmonious color. You will complete paintings from reproductions of master paintings, and practice these new skills outdoors when possible or from photos inside the studio. Lunchtime demonstrations will be conducted on both days. You will be encouraged to bring in your existing work for a basic critique of color. www.laurenandreach.com
